I was blessed to travel to multiple continents, tons of countries & cities. I encountered some of the most beautiful people and had a chance to really learn and embrace other cultures. Most of all I got inspired by the colors, food, spices, fabrics, style, and more.
I was fortunate to have a bff who was always up for an adventure. I also joined the travel group Black Girl Khronicles , an amazing group where you travel with strangers and by the end you create sisterhoods....Stop waiting for your friends who constantly flake, we all know how hard it is to plan a girls trip! This was an amazing opportunity for me to see the world and make new friends.
Stepping out of your comfort zone elevates your mind, body and soul. Don't travel for an Instagram moment or use the people around you as props for clout. Actually spend time talking to locals, understanding their way of life.
During my travels, I have met creators, artisans, taught at an all girls school in Africa, and created sisterhoods with people across seas. My feet have touched the sand of the Arabian sea, my tongue tasted the spices of India, my heart felt the love of muslim culture in Africa. These are experiences that no amount of material wealth can replace. The eye has got to travel.
